Topline Bulletin is a self-directed publication about numbers — their history, their place in culture, and what mathematics can and cannot tell us about the world.

What we publish

Long-form explainers written for readers who enjoy mathematics without being mathematicians. Every article starts from a question a non-singularist would actually ask, and answers it with sources a reader can check.

• The history of counting, notation and numeral systems
• Numbers in culture, language and belief
• Coincidences, patterns and why they feel meaningful
• What current research says about how the brain handles quantity

Editorial standards

Mathematical claims are cited from peer-reviewed literature or standard reference works. Where a topic is contested, we say so instead of picking a side. Articles are dated and corrected in place; we do not silently rewrite published work.

Advertising and disclosure

Some pages carry sponsored placements or affiliate links. When they do, the page says so plainly. Sponsorship never buys editorial coverage, and no advertiser reviews an article before publication.
